Das EMTEC Gdium Mobile Netbook ist mal kein Intel Atom Netbook sondern basiert auf einer CPU mit MIPS-64 Architektur von ST Microelectronics. Das Display jedoch ist wieder netbooktypisch, ein 10 Zoll TFT mit 1024×600 Pixeln Auflösung.
Als OS beim EMTEC Gdium Mobile Netbook kommt eine angepasste Version von Mandriva Linux zum Einsatz.
Der Preis des EMTEC Gdium Mobile Netbook soll dabei unter 400 Dollar liegen. Die genaue Verfügbarkeit des EMTEC Gdium Mobile Netbook in Deutschland ist noch nicht klar.
Schön, dass endlich mal wieder ein Netbook nicht auf den Intel Atom setzt. Das EMTEC Gdium Mobile Netbook bietet hier neben wenigen anderen Netbooks eine Alternative. Auch das Design des EMTEC ist als gelungen zu bezeichnen. Mit anderen Worten: Ein Netbook, auf das man gespannt sein darf.
