H.G. Wells – Google Doodle
After the „unexplained phenomenon“ and „crop circles“ Google Doodles Google Australia and soon the rest of the world shows the H.G. Wells Google Doodle. So it seems clear now, that this series of Google Doodles is about H.G. Wells who was born on the 21st September.
H. G. Wells
H.G. Wells was born on September 21st 1866 in Bromley Kent and died on August 13th 1946 in London. Herbert George Wells wrote famous books like:
- The Time Machine
- The Island of Dr. Moreau
- The Invisible Man
- The War Of The Worlds
- The Food of the Gods
H. G. Wells wrote many other novels and also non-fiction. H.G. Wells in the Wikipedia.
With this third Google Doodle the series of unexplained Doodles will find it’s end. But I guess after H.G. Wells Google will soon find another topic to create mysterious Doodles about.

Not true. There are lots of local Google sites that exhibit the standard logo, the most relevant of them google.co.uk, being H. G. Wells english. I’m from Spain and at google.es I can see the image doodle, but not a link to http://www.google.es/search?q=H.G.+Wells&ct=hgwells09&oi=ddle . Instead a “Not for Spain” shows as a title and alternate text. This is the relevant source code:
So the mistery continues, maybe…
